Whats Cooking? Our Kai Ora cooking class.

Join our Kai Ora cooking group. Learn to cook nutritious, wholesome, delicious food on a budget.

We have taken the plunge and decided to run cooking classes for parents who need some creative practical ways to feed the family. Our focus is empowerment through fun and educational. Our plan is to run a five week course covering, Hygiene, Food prep and cooking skills, Healthy eating, Budgeting, and of course a bunch of wholesome creative recipes. We also aim to impart through discussion positive parenting skills, including working together for separated parents.

Our Onehunga Community Centre has kindly allocated a 2 hour slot on Tuesdays from 6 till 8pm to work our magic. We plan to engage local produce providers and supermarkets for their help as well as home cooks who might like to share their knowledge and skills.

Nick Butterworth ( Graphic designer) kindly created the flyer and added his little creation on the cover, a delicious one pan mince and rice.
We feel confident that we will be able to secure funding for a long term if not permanent program.
Of course, all donations welcome.

We will formally kick off on Tuesday the 6th of May
