Family Dispute Resolution a new process

Family Dispute Resolution (FDR) Not to be confused with the Financial Dispute Resolution Service.

We look forward to helping dads through the process and in the past have had the opportunity to work with both parents, putting our ‘it’s all about the kids’ hats on to resolve issues without $$ cost.

Family Dispute Resolution is a mediation service where you work with an independent professional to agree on how you’ll care for your children.

You, your child’s other parent or guardian or anyone else involved in the dispute takes part in Family Dispute Resolution together. The aim is to resolve the issues that stop you agreeing on a plan that is in the best interests of your children.

If you can’t agree and need the Family Court to make a decision, in most cases you’ll have to show you’ve attempted Family Dispute Resolution first.
