Visiting or living in Christchurch:

The Deparment of Conservation have created a Nature Play Park based on the Canterbury landscape at 203 Hereford Street. It is very much a hands on park with stepping stones, miniature board walks, a wetland and tussock grass. You can even discover aquatic bugs (which have been set in resin).

The aim is to raise awareness of the wonders of nature, particularly for those who have not yet visited the great parks and conservation areas in Canterbury.
